  10. I too have had my share of deleting text by acidentally hitting COntrol A 
  11. in Atari WOrks, and thankfully UNDO solves most of the problems.  I feel, 
  12. though, that A has the best mnemonic value for "All" (mostly thanks to 
  13. our "friends" at Apple, who have done many evil things, but set up some 
  14. good keyboard shortcut standards)

  16. Perhaps Control Shift A could be adopted.  The extra key would eliminate 
  17. the chance of the accidental selection, and still keep the mnemonic 
  18. value.  Some applications could, of course, continue to support COntrol 
  19. A, which should be left otherwise unbound, in addition to COntrol Shift A.

  21. P.S. I'm new to the list, so I don't know if this has been already 
  22. proposed and killed for some reason.
