- I too have had my share of deleting text by acidentally hitting COntrol A
- in Atari WOrks, and thankfully UNDO solves most of the problems. I feel,
- though, that A has the best mnemonic value for "All" (mostly thanks to
- our "friends" at Apple, who have done many evil things, but set up some
- good keyboard shortcut standards)

- Perhaps Control Shift A could be adopted. The extra key would eliminate
- the chance of the accidental selection, and still keep the mnemonic
- value. Some applications could, of course, continue to support COntrol
- A, which should be left otherwise unbound, in addition to COntrol Shift A.
